Ferrari recalls F430 Spider for convertible top problems Ferrari is recalling 1,950 of its 2005-'07 F430 Spider cars. A defect involving the hydraulic hoses for the convertible top could cause smoke and fire in the engine compartment, rendering the vehicle inoperable, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The hoses are located inside the engine compartment.
