Maserati has released the first official images of their highly anticipated GranCabrio. Essentially a convertible version of the sexy GranTurismo coupe, the new GranCabrio is the first four-seat convertible in Maserati's history. The beautiful Pininfarina styling carries over, while a new canvas roof provides open-air enjoyment. According to Maserati, "The GranCabrio enriches all five senses in a shared open-air experience, without sacrificing comfort and performance".
The only confirmed engine is the 323 kW (440 bhp) 4.7-liter V8 from the GranTurismo S, but an entry-level 4.2-liter V8 (with 405 bhp) may be offered in the future. The Maserati GranCabrio will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with sales starting in spring 2010.
